Advent in the Bible and Art - residential retreat

In the build-up to Christmas, take some time to settle into Advent and join us in exploring the timeless events of annunciation, visitation and nativity. The retreat will develop these themes through Bible study, input on paintings, time to reflect and worship together with the resident community. There will also be opportunities to respond creatively or to enjoy walks nearby. You will be looked after at the beautiful retreat centre which is surrounded by the spiritual history and ruins of the old Cistercian Abbey.

The retreat is led by the Bishop of Burnley, Rt Rev. Dr Joe Kennedy together with Rev. Anna Walker, Director of Whalley Abbey.
